Mission Statement: To restore a brown trout fishery through nonprofit means for the purpose of preservation while providing an improved angling experience for future generations.
Dear Tournament Angler,
The BFE is back for another year of brown trout stocking in Bridgeport. This year we have two Tomato Bin Projects to fund and thanks to your participation, our tournaments have helped us raise enough to complete our Virginia Creek facility.
We have gone through a mandatory testing for Whirling Disease and have passed with flying colors. Through our non-profit Program, all of our local waters can now receive brown trout from our bins.
Our tournament schedule is very similar to last year. There will be a family focused bait event on Saturday June 23rd, 2007. The entry fee remains the same as last year. The fly fishing only event with a float tube division will be on Sunday, October 7th, 2007.
The entry fee will be the same as well as the rules. We will also have our awards dinner at the Memorial Hall for both events. The quality dinner, awards, trophies, raffles, and goody bags are going to be worth the trip.
Please visit www.bridgeportfishenhancement.com for details. You can print the entry forms, rules, and waiver to mail in, or you can enter either event online. There will also be entry forms available at local marinas, Kens Sporting Goods, and at the Hall during check-in the evening before the events.
We look forward to spending the day with you again and hope that you will make the time to support this worthwhile cause.
Bets wishes from the BFE Committee
